WOOD BURNING SEASON IS COMING,WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

To keep your woodstove running as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible, here are a few things you can do before the colder months arrive.

1. Check your fireplace
If your fireplace/wood stoves is 10 years old or more, it may not be as efficient. Newer furnaces are cleaner and more efficient by producing a hotter fire and burning at the optimal temperature.

2. Use VODA stove fan
VODA STOVE FAN will distribute the heat from your wood burner more efficiently, spreading it evenly throughout your home rather than directly to the ceiling.VODA STOVE FAN will help you burn up to 40% less wood, which means less air pollution is released.

3. Keep firewood dry
If possible, keep dry and leave for 6-18 months. Burning wood with more than 20% moisture content will produce unwanted smoke and air pollutants.

4. Check the condition of your chimney
Before cold weather returns, your chimney should be inspected and lined or relined and inspected by a professional chimney sweep to ensure it meets all safety standards. Your chimney should be swept at least twice a year and make sure there is a clear pathway for smoke to prevent chimney fires.
